Ridgely Commons

04040-01Baltimore, Maryland

Originally a 19th-century church, this building was converted into a recreation center in the 1950s, which involved significant demolition of interior structural elements. Within the walls of the church’s structural shell, PFA has restored and converted abandoned recreation space into four beautiful contemporary residential units with a six-car parking garage. Some structures behind the church were demolished and replaced with two contemporary residential units.

In 2006, Ridgely Commons was the recipient of an AIA Maryland Honor Award and an AIA Baltimore Honorable Mention in the multi-family residential design category.
