This unbuilt, 90-key boutique hotel prototype for CityStay was recognized at the 2007 “Wave of the Future” awards by Hospitality Design Magazine. It is designed to bring urban flare to the suburban landscape; focusing on high-design amenities and style. Reminiscent of an urban skyline, the hotel features a rooftop terrace, an open lobby and bar, guestrooms with wood flooring, and dynamically-lit reflecting pools which flow out from the lobby into the outdoor pool.

The genius of the design is in its modularization; by creatively stacking the room module over parking space layouts, the CityStay prototype meets market demand for Mixed-Use developments with cost efficiency in mind. The prefabrication of the guest room module was carefully researched and documented.
