Frederick, MD
Located along the Carroll Creek Linear Park in the heart of Frederick, Maryland, the new 182-room, full-service Hotel and Conference Center is poised to become the epicenter of Frederick. This deeply historic, colonial city is the second largest city in the state and home to a burgeoning food and arts community. The hotel will incorporate the historic Terminal Building of Frederick Railroad as a retail pavilion, showcasing boutique food and arts vendors and will create new benchmark venue for foodies and business interests alike.
The new hotel is inspired by this culture, as well as the parallel arts and crafts movement in town. A rotating program of historic artifacts, along with work by local artisans will tell the story of Frederick then and now throughout the hotel’s lobby and public spaces. The architecture is a blend of new and old, creating a structure which is respectful to its historic context but clearly of our time. The design implements Marriott’s new, modern design strategy, with casual dining food and beverage venues that will engage the adjacent Carroll Creek Linear Park. The Conference Center will also have a large terrace overlooking the park, and a rooftop venue where guests and locals will be able to take in the view of the historic church spires of Frederick over drinks.
