The George Washington Hotel was an abandoned shadow of its former self when the FILLAT+ team was brought in to breathe new life into this beloved iconic venue in the historic city of Winchester, Virginia. The hotel was originally built in the 1920s and was renovated to provide 80 luxury rooms on four levels. The project received Federal and State Historic Tax Credits.

The beautiful lobby and grand ballroom were restored to their former glory while the lobby bar was given a fresh new look respectful to its historic bones. Guestrooms were completely redesigned to meet contemporary guest expectations. A day spa and new, fine dining restaurant were added to the basement level. The hotel has won numerous Historic Preservation awards and has reestablished itself as the go-to venue in Winchester.
